This is a hybrid position where two days a week the successful candidate will work out of offices based in Portsmouth. Therefore this role may be of interest to candidates based in other areas, such as London, who are willing to commute twice a week.
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Manage risks that may cause harm to the council
- Provide an unbiased approach to assisting managers with meeting targets effectively and efficiently
- Build and maintain working relationships with members of the council as well as external clients
- Assist with developing the internal audit process
- Advise on risk exposure
Candidate requirements:
- Relevant qualification/ membership (accounting or auditing)
- Experience of working within a similar role previously within another Local Authority (and therefore have experience of PSIAS)
