Multi-national Services Group has an opportunity for an experienced Senior Financial Accountant to undertake responsibility for the timely and accurate reporting for the various entities within the Group. This role has arisen as a result of continued growth within the business.

What will the Senior Financial Accountant role involve?

Reporting to the Financial Controller, the key responsibilities of the Senior Financial Accountant will include:

Production of monthly and annual statutory returns including assisting with the finalisation of the annual financial statements;
Preparation of the monthly P&L, balance sheet reconciliations and month end close;
Monthly cost centre reporting and analysis, intercompany reconciliations and management of the Fixed Asset register;
Preparation of quarterly tax returns and monthly collaboration with Group Treasury on accounting for derivatives and hedging accounting;
Act as key liaison with external auditors, providing all information requested;
Assist with the annual budget and quarterly forecasting.

Suitable candidate for the Senior Financial Accountant opportunity:

Applicants for the Senior Financial Accountant position will hold a full accountancy qualification with either previous experience of working within a similar position with a multinational business or looking to make their first move from Public Practice;
Working knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP would be beneficial to undertake the role successfully as will advanced Excel skills.

Additional Information for Senior Financial Accountant position:

The position will be offered on a hybrid working basis with the successful applicant expected to attend the Portsmouth office 3 days a week;
