Assistant Accountant - Portsmouth - £37,000 + Excellent Benefits

Duties & Responsibilities:

Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts and financial statements.
Handle month-end adjustments and reconcile financial data.
Analyse budget variances and assist in cashflow forecasting.
Manage VAT and CIS returns, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
Support intercompany transactions and profitability reporting.

What Experience is Required:

Previous experience in an Assistant Accountant role or similar financial position.
Proficiency with accounting software, ideally Oracle NetSuite, and strong Excel skills.
Knowledge of VAT, CIS returns, and intercompany transactions is preferred.
You will ideally be part qualified CIMA or ACCA.
