Responsibilities of the Civil Design Engineer will include:

• Completing the design and development of civil engineering projects, specifically in the water and wastewater sectors.
• Working with senior engineers in the preparation of design calculations, drawings, and specifications.
• Collaborating with the design team to ensure projects meet client requirements, budget, and timelines.
• Preparing and reviewing technical reports, design documentation, and proposals.
• Conducting site visits to assess conditions and gather data for design work.
• Ensuring compliance with industry standards, regulations, and health and safety requirements.
• Assisting with the preparation of project plans, schedules, and cost estimates.
• Continuously learning and developing design skills under the mentorship of senior engineers.

Requirements:

• A relevant degree in Civil Engineering (e.g., BEng/MEng).
• Some experience in civil engineering design, ideally within the water or wastewater sector, though more junior candidates with relevant academic qualifications and enthusiasm will be considered.
• Proficient in the use of design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar tools).
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work effectively within a team.
• A proactive approach to learning and professional development.
• Knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and health and safety practices.
