Blue Arrow are working on behalf of a prestigious home delivery logistics organisation based in Portsmouth. We have immediate positions available for skilled 7.5 tonne delivery drivers to join their team.
We are looking for customer focused individuals who are passionate about providing a high level of customer care. If you want to feel part of a team and receive specialist training to help you perform your duties to the highest standard then this role could be the perfect fit.
You will be working as part of a 2 person team, so ability to work collaboratively is a must.
Location: Portsmouth
Rates of pay are £15.50 ph Monday to Sunday
Holiday: 28 Days to start and accrued whilst you work (Get paid when you are off)
Start Times: Approx 6:00am daily
Ave Shift Length: 8 - 12 hours (Job & Finish)
Duration: Temp to Perm
(Enhancements to contract once permanent)
Role:
- Maintain responsibility for your vehicle and uphold standards to the highest level.
- Ensuring deliveries are done in a safe and efficient manner, ensuring products are free from damage.
- Uphold brand values at all times.
- Some assembly may be required (Full training will be given)
- Providing excellent levels of customer service.
It's a customer-centric role, so exceptional service skills are essential, not just driving.
- Maintain a smart, clean, and tidy appearance at all times.
You will be responsible for ensuring all delivery logs are signed and accounted for, and you should always present yourself in a polite and courteous manner, representing both the client and Blue Arrow to the highest standards.
Ideal Candidate:
- A valid 7.5 Licence held for over a year.
- Current and valid CPC and DIGI TACHO.
- No more than 6 penalty points (no IN DR or DD codes).
- Strong level of English.
- Good knowledge of the UK road network.
- Hardworking and reliable.
- Excellent punctuality.
- Customer care oriented.
- Physically fit.
All suitable applicants will be required to complete a basic DBS prior to starting.
Previous experience in a similar role would be a plus when applying.
