HGV Class 1 Night Driver - Portsmouth

We are looking for a dedicated HGV Class 1 Driver to join our logistics team. This position requires a professional and courteous individual who can represent the company at customer premises and ensure the accurate and timely collection and delivery of goods.
Day to Day of the Role:
- Drive Class 1 HGV vehicles for the collection and delivery of trailers.
- Undertake coupling and uncoupling of trailers as required.
- Perform daily vehicle checks and report any defects.
- Complete relevant paperwork associated with deliveries and collections.
- Act as a company representative at customer sites, maintaining a professional and friendly manner.
- Work Monday to Friday, including Bank Holidays if needed, night shifts (from roughly 20:00 until finish, approximately 8 to 10-hour shifts) available.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- A valid HGV Class 1 CE license with a minimum of two years of experience preferred.
- No more than 6 points on the licence and no major endorsements (DD, IN, TT, or DR).
- Current CPC Driver Qualification Card (Full CPC) and a valid Digital Tachograph card.
- Understanding and compliance with the Working Time Directive Legislation (Driver’s hours).
- Strong logistical and geographical knowledge.
- Good communication skills with a solid understanding of the English language, both written and verbal.
- Ability to maintain a safe working environment in compliance with Health & Safety regulations, including working at a height without a harness (approximately 4 feet off the ground).
