Our clients a young, dynamic engineering company, based in Portsmouth have an exciting opportunity for a Sales Manager to join their growing team. Due to success, they are seeking an additional salesperson, to help increase market awareness.

As a Sales Manager you will be working as part of a small, dedicated team, you will be responsible for searching, developing, and maintaining new key accounts.

The role:

The Sales Manager will be responsible for creating, developing, and maintaining a sales pipeline which will deliver sustainable, profitable growth, tasks will include, but are not limited to:

  • Prospecting & business development activities
  • Arranging and attending on/off-site client meetings
  • Estimating and quoting work from technical CAD data
  • Closing/winning deals
  • Project managing the order through to completion
  • Account management activity to ensure the business are always front of mind

Ideal skills & experience:

  • Able to demonstrate knowledge of machining techniques, ideally from a CNC machining background desired, however not essential
  • Strong problem-solving and solutions-driven mindset
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
  • Proven track record in driving sustained, profitable growth
  • Demonstrable success in previous sales roles.

Hours are Monday – Friday 0800 – 1600hrs

The role is based in the Portsmouth office, however opportunity for Hybrid working can be discussed.
