Nursery Manager

Nursery Manager / Portsmouth We're supporting one of our client Portsmouth Primary schools to recruit a Nursery Manager for their adjoined Early Years facility! The school itself is renowned for their excellent Nursery facilities and the quality of their care and education that is provided. The Nursery moved from within the school in 2016 and have offered year-round childcare for children from 6 months to 15 months ever since. They have 4 separate classes for the children and are moved up dependant on how their development is progressing and how emotionally secure they feel within the nursery. This is a permanent, full-time role, offering an exciting opportunity to lead a dedicated team and ensure the highest standards of care and education for children.

Key Responsibilities:

* Oversee the day-to-day operations of the nursery, ensuring compliance with Ofsted and EYFS standards.* Lead, motivate, and support a team of early years practitioners, ensuring staff development and high morale.* Build strong relationships with parents, children, and staff to create a nurturing and safe environment.* Manage budgets, resources, and administrative tasks effectively.* Implement and maintain policies, procedures, and safeguarding practices.* Foster a creative and stimulating learning environment that encourages children's development.

Requirements:

* Minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years (or equivalent).* Proven experience in a managerial or senior leadership role within an early years setting.* Strong knowledge of EYFS and Ofsted regulations.* Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.* A genuine passion for providing high-quality childcare and education.I'd love to hear from you if this is something you'd like more information!
