The successful Hydraulics System Engineer will work closely with the Lead Hydraulics Engineer, playing a key part in designing, validating and testing hydraulic systems for cutting edge projects.

The Role:
Collaborate with the team to develop hydraulic systems for various marine industry sectors, including commercial, leisure, and shipping
Design and specify hydraulic systems, including producing schematics, 3D models, and manufacturing drawings of components
Create documentation and perform calculation to support design efforts
Model hydraulic systems using simulation software for system validation
Develop, test, and oversee hydraulic systems
Manage suppliers and support system commissioning for vessels
Provide technical support and documentation for hydraulic systems
Requirements:
Degree in Fluid Power, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Control Systems, or a related discipline.
Hydraulics training (NFPC or equivalent) preferred, training available for the right candidate.
Solid understanding of industrial and mobile hydraulic systems and components.
Knowledge of mechanical systems.
Experience with CAD software, ideally Siemens NX.
Ability to create detailed hydraulic schematics.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Capable of performing hands-on tasks safely and effectively.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a meticulous attention to detail.
Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Excellent communication skills to explain complex technical information clearly.
Willingness to travel as required.
