Adept:us are recruiting for a Hydraulics Systems Engineer for our client who operates at the forefront of engineering innovation within the marine industry. With a focus on sustainable and advanced solutions, it is committed to transforming the sector by introducing ground breaking products designed to enhance efficiency and push technological boundaries.
We are looking for a Hydraulic Systems Engineer to collaborate with our clients Lead Hydraulics Engineer. In this role, you'll play a key part in designing, validating, and testing hydraulic systems for cutting-edge projects.
Responsibilities:

Work closely with a dynamic, small team of engineers to create innovative systems for the commercial, leisure, and shipping sectors of the marine industry.

Design and specify hydraulic systems, including producing schematics, and manufacturing drawings for components such as manifolds.

Develop detailed documentation and perform calculations to support and validate designs.

Use Simcenter AMEsim to model hydraulic systems for system validation and performance optimization.

Test and develop hydraulic systems.

Oversee supplier selection and maintain effective supplier relationships.

Provide commissioning services and technical support for vessels in the field.

Ensure comprehensive documentation and design calculations are completed and maintained.
Requirements:

A higher education qualification in Fluid Power, Mechanical, Electrical, Control Systems, or a related field.

Hydraulics Training: NFPC or equivalent training in hydraulics (training can be provided for the right candidate).

Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of industrial and mobile hydraulic systems and components.

Basic knowledge of mechanical systems.

Design Experience: Proficiency in CAD design, ideally with Siemens NX.

Experience in creating hydraulic schematics.

Software Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Practical Skills: Ability to perform hands-on tasks safely and efficiently.
