CNC Miller
We are seeking a skilled CNC Miller Programmer to join a well know precision engineering company who are based in the Portsmouth area. As a CNC Miller Programmer, you will be responsible for setting up, operating and programming mills using Fanuc system to produce high-quality precision parts.

CNC Miller Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate CNC mills to produce parts in accordance with blueprints and engineering drawings
  • Program CNC mills using Fanuc system to ensure accuracy and efficiency
  • Monitor machine operations to detect any malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining
  • Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards
  • Collaborate with the engineering and production teams to optimize manufacturing processes
  • Adhere to safety and quality standards at all times
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment
Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a CNC miller and programmer
  • Proficiency in programming using Fanuc system
  • Strong understanding of blueprint reading and GD&T (geometric dimensioning and tolerancing)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent attention to detail and quality
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of machine tooling and cutting parameters
  • Experience with CNC mill setup and operation is preferred
  • Knowledge of G-code and M-code is a plus
Day-to-Day
  • Set up CNC mills and program using Fanuc system
  • Monitor machine operations and adjust as necessary
  • Inspect finished parts for quality and accuracy
  • Collaborate with colleagues to optimize manufacturing processes
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment
