Overview
We are seeking a skilled CNC Miller to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in 3 or 5-axis vertical milling using CAD/CAM and be familiar with Heidenhain Control machines. We value inclusive and diverse workplaces, and encourage all qualified individuals to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate 3 or 5-axis vertical milling machines
  • Read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings
  • Use CAD/CAM software to generate toolpaths
  • Complete in-process inspections and maintain quality standards
  • Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues as they arise
  • Adhere to safety and quality regulations

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in CNC milling, specifically with 3 or 5-axis machines
  • Proficiency with CAD/CAM software, including NCG, Strategist, or Hypermill
  • Ability to interpret blueprints and engineering drawings
  • Familiarity with Heidenhain Control systems
  • Strong attention to detail and quality
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Good verbal and written communication skills

Day-to-day
As a CNC Miller, your day-to-day tasks will include setting up and operating CNC milling machines, using CAD/CAM software to generate toolpaths, conducting in-process inspections, and troubleshooting any machining issues. You will work closely with the engineering team to ensure high-quality production.

Package

Rates vary dependant on experience. From 15 to 24 / hour. Nights carries 25% premium.

40 Hours per week contract (40 or 48 on nights over 4 days)

Overtime paid at 1.5 after contracted hours worked.
