Job Title:CNC Miller Programmer/Setter/Operator

Shift:Working 39 hours, 5 days a week Monday to Thursday 07:30 to 16:30, Friday 07:30 to 12:30 or 40 hours Monday to Friday 06:00 to 14:30.

Rate:18 - 20 p/h

The Job

  • Programme, Setting and Operating CNC Machines using Fanuc controls.
  • Prove out CNC programs ensuring the highest quality is maintained at all times and the machining processes are running efficiently to maximising productivity.
  • Programme parts using SolidCam.
  • Maintain highest quality throughout the process, including dimensionally inspect manufactured product, using a variety of measuring equipment, to ensure the drawing requirements are achieved.
  • To be able to work on their own initiative and accurately in a time-constrained and pressured environment while understanding the manufacturing processes with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to teach and train other staff with a positive attitude towards their work.
  • Report to management any situations or opportunities that could help you complete or improve the efficiency of the work assigned.
  • Accurate bookings for all parts produced to ensure accurate deliveries and costings. If the planned cycle time is incorrect, then it is your responsibility to inform your supervisor so this can be amended accordingly.
  • Promoting the culture of a continual improvement environment, 5s and Lean manufacturing standards within the organisation.
  • Maintains a clean, safe, organized and manageable work area adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
  • Demonstrating work conduct consistent with the company values. Work within prescribed boundaries, including company policies, standards, procedures and any regulatory requirements.
  • Any other duties as required, commensurate with the job position

  • Programme CNC milling machines with Fanuc controls
  • Able to programme using SolidCam preferred but not essential.
