Are you looking for an incredible place of work and a 4 day working week?

We are currently seeking a skilled CNC Miller to join our clients team who manufacture incredible niche products in Portsmouth. As a CNC Miller, you will be responsible for producing high-quality precision components in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have experience setting and operating CNC milling machines.

Responsibilities

  • Set and operate 3/4 axis CNC milling machines to produce components to tight tolerances and high quality standards.
  • Interpret technical drawings and specifications to ensure components are manufactured to the correct dimensions and specifications.
  • Conduct regular quality inspections of components during the production process to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Troubleshoot any issues with the CNC machines and perform basic maintenance and repairs as required.
  • Collaborate with production planning and engineering teams to ensure components are produced on time and to the required specifications.
  • Assist with the continuous improvement of production processes and suggest ways to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience setting and operating CNC milling machines.
  • Proven ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Experience with precision engineering and manufacturing techniques.
  • Excellent attention to detail and quality standards.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • A team player with strong communication skills.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as required.
  • A police check will be required due to the work that will be done at site.

This is a permanent position working a 36.5 hour week based over Mon - Thursday.
