Job Title: School Site Manager

We are currently seeking a proactive and diligent School Site Manager to join a school based in Portsmouth on a temporary basis (potentially temporary to permanent for the right candidate). The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and safe operation of the school site. School caretaker or facilities management experience is required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting routine maintenance tasks to upkeep the school premises.
- Assisting with health and safety checks to ensure compliance with regulations.
- Monitoring and managing stock levels for cleaning and maintenance supplies.
- Responding promptly to any maintenance or repair issues as they arise.
- Undertaking minor repairs and adjustments as needed.
- Supporting the setup and breakdown of equipment for school events and activities.
- Collaborating with other staff members to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a caretaker, facilities management, or site assistant.
- Strong practical skills with the ability to perform basic maintenance tasks.
- Excellent organisational abilities and attention to detail.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
- A proactive and flexible approach to work, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to school environments would be advantageous.
- Willingness to undergo relevant background checks.
