Contracts Manager - £35-45k per annum plus company car and benefits - Portsmouth

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Insurance Surveyor / Contracts Manager who will have been working in the Insurance reinstatement industry as part of a builder repair network surveying, scoping and delivering quality projects, ensuring compliance, and managing relationships with clients and suppliers.

You will be expected to assess damage for buildings insurance claims to form a scope of works. You will build a budget, plan of works and the necessary health and safety paperwork to ensure a well delivered, safe and profitable project.

You will typically be on the road 2-3 days a week surveying, carrying out site visits with the trades and policy holders and completing health and safety spot checks.

Responsibilities:

- Manage the entire claims lifecycle from survey to satisfactory sign off

- Ensure compliance with H&S obligations

- Communicate with stakeholders to clarify contract details

- Identify additional cost variation early and ensure costs are agreed prior to completion

- Monitor claim performance and address any issues that arise

- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and suppliers

- Provide guidance on claims matters to internal teams

Key Skills / Requirements:

  • a proven track record of surveying and assessing repairs on private domestic properties
  • Experience in dealing with insurance damage (fire, flood, escape of water, storm, subsidence etc.)
  • excellent knowledge of trades and relevant costs within this industry and be able to understand/interpret and produce an accurate schedule of works
  • Strong drive to achieve results and meet deadlines
  • Excellent time management skills to handle multiple contracts simultaneously
  • Ability to negotiate effectively and resolve conflicts
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
