Insurance Surveyor - South Coast - £40,000-£45,000pa + Company Benefits

This role is a key role within the Insurance reinstatement team, reporting directly to the department manager. Working with a growing organisation you will have the autonomy to work independently, as well as part of a team.

You will provide key clients with the highest standards of customer service whilst handling the validation and investigation of all insurance claims, ensuring compliance with all company policies and procedures and Health and Safety legislation.

The ideal candidate will have a well-rounded knowledge of the building and construction industry coupled with core knowledge and experience of the insurance sector.

Responsibilities:

- Conduct surveys and carry out claim validation reports

- Use specialised equipment to measure on site dimensions

- Record dimensions and other data within specialist software, such as Xactimate

- Prepare scope of works and provide cost estimates using agreed schedule of rates for the required re-instatement works

- Liaise with Policy holders, claims handlers and loss adjusters to schedule works and keep in constant communication

- Manage materials, trades and labour to complete works within agreed budgets and timescales

- Assist accounts team in closing claims efficiently ready for invoicing

KEY SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES REQUIRED

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- A minimum of 5 years construction experience, trade background considered

- Estimating/surveying experience within insurance is essential, as either a surveyor or Contracts Manager

- Experience of software such as Symbility, Analysis or Xactimate
