Part Time Credit Controller - Office Based

Salary up to £26,000 pro rata plus bonus opportunities.

Location: Portsmouth

We are currently seeking an assertive and proactive Part Time Credit Controller to join our established & growing recruitment business. We are looking for an experienced Credit Controller with a positive, 'can do’ approach and friendly but assertive manner. For the right candidate, there are excellent opportunities to earn bonus on top of your basic salary.

Responsibilities:

  • Credit Control - following procedures in a fast-paced team environment, including filing online Court claims as necessary.
  • Invoice creation & sending them to our clients.
  • Uploading details onto Xero & our finance invoicing system.
  • Raising credit notes and dealing with customer invoice queries.
  • Looking at 'Customers over credit limits’ on a weekly basis - reviewing limits or placing on stop until payments are received.
  • Monthly Bank reconciliations.
  • Updating the directors on overdue payments & solutions to address this.
  • Reducing the average days our client invoices are outstanding.
  • Maintaining accuracy of spreadsheets.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years previous credit control experience
  • Excellent telephone manner
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good educational grades including Maths
  • Experience of working in a recruitment business would be an advantage.
