A leading Specialist Lender of Consumer Finance is seeking a dedicated and results-oriented Collections Agent to join our growing Customer Care team.

About the Role:

As a Collections Agent, you'll play a key role in assisting customers facing payment difficulties. You'll work collaboratively with customers to develop personalized payment plans and ensure collections activities adhere to company policies and regulations.

What You'll Do:

  • Proactively reach out to customers with outstanding balances.
  • Listen empathetically to customer concerns and identify the root cause of payment issues.
  • Collaborate with customers to develop realistic and sustainable payment plans.
  • Clearly communicate collection policies and procedures in a professional manner.
  • Negotiate and secure timely payments while maintaining positive customer relationships.
  • Process payments and update customer accounts accurately.
  • Document all customer interactions and adhere to strict data protection regulations.

Who You Are:

  • A compassionate and understanding individual with a genuine desire to help others.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers in challenging situations.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to identify solutions for customers.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Strong computer literacy skills and proficiency in relevant customer service software (a plus).
  • Experience in a collections environment or a related field (a plus).

Key Details:

  • £26,500 per annum + a performance based monthly bonus
  • Hybrid (2-days per week from home) post-probationary period
  • 08:00 - 16:00, 09:00 - 17:00, 10:00 - 18:00 shift patterns
  • 1 Saturday AM per month and a morning off the following week
