A Teaching Assistant is needed in a Primary School in Portsmouth.

This will be a full time, long term Teaching Assistant post.

Working hours at the school for a Teaching Assistant are 8am to 4pm.

Responsibilities for this Teaching Assistant role will include but not be limited to:

  • Supporting identified students in 1:1, group or whole class situations
  • Working with the teachers to ensure each student's learning needs are identified
  • Leading small group sessions and interventions
  • Attending to students' personal needs when required
  • Supporting behaviour management and using appropriate strategies in line with academy policy
  • Undertaking learning activities/teaching programmes when needed

The rates of pay for this Teaching Assistant position will be between £90 to £100 a day, depending on the qualifications and experiences of each applicant.

Requirements

Applications are welcome if you are a Graduate or experienced Teaching Assistant.

You are also welcome to apply if you are a British trained Teaching Assistant or overseas trained Teaching Assistant.
