- My client, a manufacturer of cutting-edge marine technology based in Portsmouth, is seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer or Electrical Engineer.
- This onsite role offers a salary between £50,000 and £60,000, depending on experience.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for system design, developing electrical prototypes, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Candidates should have a degree in Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering and a strong background in electrical CAD tools, along with relevant industry experience.
- Experience in producing detailed design specifications and testing electrical systems is also required.

Responsibilities:
System Design & Integration, design and layout power distribution, wiring harnesses, connectors, control modules, motor control, and charging systems.
Prototyping & Testing, develop electrical system prototypes for validation and performance testing.
Ensure all designs meet relevant industry and safety standards.
Work closely with testing teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
Produce detailed documentation, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical reports
Requirements:
Degree-qualified in Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering, or equivalent industry experience
Proficient in electrical CAD tools (AutoCAD or equivalent)
Familiarity with 3D CAD systems (beneficial but not essential)
Skilled in simulation and analysis of electrical systems
Strong understanding of relevant industry regulations and standards
Experience in producing detailed design specifications for complex projects
Experience in testing and commissioning of electrical systems.
