Solderer / Assembly Technician
Portsmouth
Up to 13.50 per hour (depending on experience)
Solderers/ Assembly Technicians of all levels urgently required to work for a leading specialist in the design and manufacture of electrical and electronic assemblies based in Portsmouth.
Ideally you will be trained or used to working to IPC 620 Standard due to the nature of the customers and contracts we hold.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform soldering tasks on electrical cable assemblies.
- Work with various cable types, connectors, and components to assemble and connect cables according to specifications.
- Ensure that all soldering work is completed to high-quality standards and meets the required specifications.
- Conduct visual and functional checks to ensure quality control.
- Follow clear instructions and blueprints for assembly processes.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in soldering, ideally within a cable manufacturing or electronics environment.
- IPC 620 Certification/ experience
- Experience with electrical cables is highly desirable.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, diagrams, and instructions accurately.
- Strong attention to detail and precision in soldering.
- Ability to work under pressure to meet production targets.
