Copello arepartnering with a leading defence client in Portsmouth to recruit an Assembly Fitter to join them on a permanent basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble and align large multi-component seals using hand tools and lifting equipment.
  • Cut, bond, and test rubber parts to specification.
  • Conduct high-pressure water and air testing on assemblies.
  • Ensure all assemblies meet torque, alignment, and test specifications.
  • Support engineering with development, assembly, and testing.

Requirements:
  • Experience in a production or engineering environment.
  • Strong mechanical/assembly aptitude.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings is essential.
  • Full, clean drivers license.
  • College education or relevant manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office/MRP systems.
  • Experience with high-pressure test machinery (air & water) is a plus.

This is a physical role, however reasonable adjustments can be made where required.
