- Managing financial operations – bookkeeping, bank reconciliations and VAT returns
- Processing payroll and timesheets – ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time
- Keeping cashflow in check – raising invoices, handling supplier payments and monitoring finances
- Preparing financial reports – management accounts where possible and support with forecasting
- Handling administrative tasks – overseeing business and fleet insurance, managing meetings and handling occasional calls
- Previous experience in a similar role, such as Finance and Office Manager / Finance Manager / Office Manager / Bookkeeper / Accountant / Assistant Accountant / Assistant Management Accountant
- Bookkeeping and finance experience – ideally in a small business
- A methodical and logical approach
- Familiarity with QuickBooks or Xero
