Educational Group based in Portsmouth, Hampshire, has a requirement for an experienced Interim Finance Manager to undertake the day to day management of the finance function to ensure the delivery of an efficient customer focused financial service to the wider organisation.

What will the Interim Finance Manager role involve?

Reporting to the Operations Director, the key responsibility of the Interim Finance Manager position will include:

  • Preparation of monthly management accounts including provision of detailed variance analysis and monthly reforecasting;
  • Support the annual budgeting processes including working with key non-finance stakeholders in budget setting and understanding the overhead costs for their individual departments;
  • Ensure the prompt and accurate processing and recording of all financial transactions, including sales invoices, credit notes and payments;
  • Preparation and submission of all external and statutory and regulatory returns including VAT and PAYE;
  • Responsibility for ensuring that all month end and year end processes are undertaken within set deadlines including completion of bank reconciliations and control accounts.

Suitable Candidate for the Interim Finance Manager vacancy:

  • Applicants for the position will have previous experience of working within a similar SME environment with a hands-on skill set and the ability to work effectively with non-finance stakeholders throughout a business;
