Operations Manager

Based: Portsmouth

Salary: £37,000 - £39,000 DOE

Our client, a Portsmouth based charity, is looking for an Operations Manager with proven experience in the sports, leisure or the hospitality sector. You will have strong leadership skills with the ability to manage diverse teams, sometimes remotely, and work in a multi-site environment.

You will have excellent financial management skills, with experience in budgeting and cost control.

As a natural communicator, you will have relationship building skills with experience in negotiation, organisation and problem-solving.

Key Objectives

Provide operational oversight and performance management of the group of sites in Portsmouth, including site KPI’s, quality and safety, operating standards, compliance and legislation, as well as being mindful of customer satisfaction.

Manage a team of senior leaders across all locations in line with the charity goals and values.

Oversee the financial management of the sites, including writing and reforecasting budgets and ensuring sites are operating within agreed budgets.

Oversee the operational readiness and development of all sites and assets including safety, maintenance, performance and standards.

Drive innovation within the organisation by identifying and leading on opportunities for growth and development of all sites. Including opportunities for improvement and offerings as well as community engagement and market reach. You will be expected to network to expand offerings and foster growth.

Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and networks, as well as community engagement.
