Your CompanyThe team at NET Recruit are partnering with a fantastic financial services business located in the Greater Portsmouth area, who are keenly searching for a Senior Client Manager on a permanent basis to join their small but growing team. This business offers a range of professional services to its clients, and prides itself on keeping its holistic and core values at the forefront of its operations.Not only will the position holder be able to handle accounting duties, as per the rest of the team, but they will also take on leadership duties as well, leading and developing a core team of accounting professionals to deliver a seamless service including accounts preparation and tax returns for Sole Traders, Partnerships and Limited Companies.Your Role and ResponsibilitiesWhile in this position your duties may include but will not be limited to:
  • Leading and developing a team of direct reports within the accounting team, including holding 1-2-1 meetings, training, recruitment support and return to work interviews as needed and working with the Accountancy Manager to plan and monitor the performance of the team
  • Supporting the creation of internal systems and controls to ensure compliance with standards
  • Overseeing the preparation and submission of accounts and tax returns for clients, and when needed handling these personally
  • Holding client meetings and utilising the phone, email, social media and in person methods to communicate with clients
  • Onboarding seamlessly, new clients, ensuring they are well integrated into the portfolio and when needed, conducting client fee reviews
  • Executing year end client meetings
  • Assessing and advising clients on their tax position, as well as cashflow, budgets and pricing
  • Completing bookkeeping, VAT return and CIS
  • Acting as the key point of liaisons on the clients behalf for outside parties including HMRC and Companies, ensuring that information held there is updated and accurate and dealing with any queries in a proactive manner
What you will need to Apply:To be considered for this role applicants must be fully ACCA/ACA qualified and have substantial experience within an accountancy practice environment, handling a caseload of clients with accounts preparation and tax returns. Applicants should also have a strong knowledge of tax and related subject matter. Communication skills are vital for this role in order to liaise effectively with both internal departments and the client base.
