Job Title: Counterbalance Forklift Driver
Location: Portsmouth
Salary: Up to 27,250
Hours: Monday to Friday 08:00-17:00 (1 hour lunch)
Our client, a leading commercial and freight distribution company is looking to expand their team and is seeking a skilled Counterbalance Forklift Driver to join their warehouse operations.
Key Responsibilities :
- Safely operate a counterbalance forklift to load and unload goods from delivery vehicles.
- Transport materials and products within the warehouse.
- Loading and unloading of HGV's
- Ensure all inventory is stored in the correct locations and safely organized.
- Perform routine checks on the forklift to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Follow health and safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
- Assist with stocktaking and inventory management as needed.
- Report any forklift issues or damages to the supervisor immediately.
Key Requirements:
- Valid Counterbalance Forklift License (essential).
- Proven experience in operating a counterbalance forklift in a busy environment.
- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations.
- Good attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Physically fit and able to lift heavy objects as required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
