Job Description

They are a well-established and reputable Bodyshop based in Portsmouth, specializing in high-quality vehicle repairs and services. With a focus on customer satisfaction and delivering excellent results, they pride themselves on providing a professional, efficient, and friendly service. Due to growth and demand, they are now looking for an experienced Bodyshop Manager to lead and manage their team to ensure the smooth operation of the shop.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage daily operations of the Bodyshop, ensuring timely and high-quality vehicle repairs.
  • Lead and motivate a team of technicians, ensuring the team is well-trained, productive, and adheres to health and safety regulations.
  • Manage the scheduling and workflow of all repairs, ensuring efficient use of resources and timely delivery.
  • Maintain a high standard of customer service, addressing customer concerns and providing timely updates on vehicle progress.
  • Monitor inventory and ordering of parts and supplies to ensure the workshop is always fully stocked.
  • Ensure all repair work is completed to industry standards, with attention to detail and quality.
  • Manage budgets and ensure costs are kept within targets while maintaining profitability.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide support and training to team members as needed.
  • Liaise with insurance companies, suppliers, and customers to ensure smooth operations and problem-solving where necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and environmental standards.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Bodyshop Manager or in a similar management role within the automotive industry.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of vehicle repair processes and standards.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage budgets and resources effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to handle complex issues under pressure.
  • Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations in the Bodyshop environment.
  • A full UK driving license is essential.
