Your Company:NET Recruit are partnering with a progressive and successful manufacturing business, who are searching for a PLC Programmer to join the team in Portsmouth. This business has been experiencing a stable period of expansion and success in recent years and have grown their customer reach to a global level, and cover various industries such as aerospace, automotive, telecommunications, medical and consumer electronics.This job fits into the heart of the business, providing support across the robotics and assembly line functions, in order to support the production processes for manufacturing. The business are seeking a technical expert, with great knowledge of software programming and practical experience in working with electronics.Roles and Responsibilities:While in this position your duties may include but are not limited to:
  • Undertaking PLC programming for Mitsubishi iQ-R
  • Carrying out Robot programming for Mitsubishi R-Series
  • Handling the programming of Keyence vision equipment both XG-X and CV-X
  • Additional programming of equipment such as Servo, RFID and Inverter
  • Identifying ways to improve existing software with the aim of optimising reliability
  • Collaborating with the wider team of projects and ensuring productivity is high
What You Will Need To Apply:To be considered for this role, candidates must possess strong demonstratable knowledge of electronics alongside excellent experience of PLC software programming. Key knowledge includes Ladder Logic, Structured Text and Function blocks. It would be advantageous to have experience working with Mitsubishi equipment although this is not mandatory. Fantastic communication skills are needed, alongside strong organisational abilities and to be able to transfer software language skills.  What You Will Get In Return:For the successful candidate a package including a base salary of up to £50,000, depending on previous experience and relevant qualifications, will be on offer alongside additional benefits which will include a competitive holiday allowance and a strong pension scheme.
