Property Maintenance Location: PortsmouthSalary: £29500 - £29750 plus fantastic benefits Hours of work: Monday to Friday core working hours – 40 hours per week Dynamite Recruitment is working in partnership with a very well-established facilities and maintenance business who are UK based. Due to growth plans out client is looking for a Resource Controller to join their business in Portsmouth.As a Resource Controller you will be responsible for:You will be working in a specialist team where you will be supporting with the allocating of trade operatives, contractors and sub-contractors in order for them to complete services and repairs within properties.Your primary responsibility will be to schedule appointments for planned work to be completed. In some cases you may need to manage emergency call outs also,Key duties as a resource controller you will:
  • Working closely with a team of Resource Controllers to ensure efficient and effective resourcing of repair appointments and materials deliveries.
  • Support the scheduling of repair appointments based on Operatives skills, availability and locality to the jobs ensuring we meet the appointment times requested and keep travel time and idle time to a minimum.
  • Assist the Resource Controllers to plan ahead for future appointments, be aware of any issues that could prevent you from meeting the appointments raising any concerns with the Resource Controller.
  • To build and maintain long standing relationships with trades operatives and sub-contractors
  • To manage relationships with suppliers of materials and third parties
  • To organize and plan for work to be completed within agreed deadlines.
  • To monitor the job management system screens to ensure when a job requires you to act you take action, or if uncertain pull on the Resource Controller for assistance.
  • Ensure you understand the end to end process of delivering the perfect repair for the customer and your key responsibilities in achieving this as well as understanding key responsibilities of others in that process.
  • Ensure issues or concerns effecting great customer service are captured and feedback to the Lead Resource Controller to ensure it gets acted upon and resolved.
  • Assist with capturing key management data to understand service performance, highlighting any issues or trends and areas of improvement, feeding this back to the management team to act on.
  • To complete all round administration
You will need to have/ be
  • Comfortable in a dynamic and evolving environment demonstrating a level head to the team and enjoy the challenge.
  • Will have strong communications skills and experience.
  • Able to deal with lots of activity, remain focused on what you are dealing with.
  • Able to organize and prioritize jobs to meet appointments times.
  • Have good computer skills in MS Office
  • Be able to self-manage and be self-motivated and have a desire to solve problems and eliminate waste.
  • Be able to take direction from your line manager and the office supervisors and provide updates and feedback.
  • Proactive in identifying your development needs and doing something to overcome them.
 Desirable:
  • Basic knowledge of building maintenance trades and the tasks/activities that can be undertaken by each trade group.
  • Understanding of the Geographical Portsmouth City area
  • Worked in an operational / logistical resourcing role.
