Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and SC-cleared Firmware Engineer with expertise in software-defined modems and radio systems. Working on a high-profile defence project, you will report to the Engineering Manager and play a critical role in developing cutting-edge firmware solutions for advanced software-defined modem technology.

Due to the sensitive nature of the work, current SC Clearance is essential for this role. Candidates must be eligible and hold active SC Clearance.

Key Responsibilities:
* Develop, test, and integrate robust firmware for complex software-defined modems, ensuring high reliability and performance.
* Collaborate within a cross-functional team to achieve technical requirements and project milestones.
* Implement best practices in version control, code quality, and project management to maintain firmware integrity and project consistency.
Essential Skills & Qualifications:
* Digital Signal Processing (DSP): Strong background in DSP for modem applications.
* VHDL Proficiency: Extensive experience in VHDL coding within a Linux environment.
* Xilinx Vivado Expertise: Skilled in Vivado, including block diagrams and non-project mode, for firmware design and integration.
* TCL Scripting: Competent in TCL scripting for IP configuration and project automation in Vivado.
* Verilog/System Verilog: Familiarity with Verilog and System Verilog.
* Version Control with Git: Proficient in Git for managing source code.
* Atlassian Toolset: Experience with Jira, Confluence, and BitBucket for Agile project management.
* Agile/Scrum Experience: Previous work experience in Agile or Scrum environments is preferred.
