The position of Shipyard Operative has become available at Premier Marinas’ newly acquired site, Trafalgar Shipyard in Portsmouth Harbour.

Working as part of a small, hardworking team this multifaceted role will include, but is not limited to, equipment maintenance, forklift operations, operating and handling equipment to safely dock and undock ships and vessels and other tasks as required.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate:

  • Ability to understand and deliver excellent customer service
  • Ability to learn and use computer software systems
  • "A can do" attitude and flexible approach to teamwork

This role includes working outdoors in all weathers and includes working some weekends and bank holidays as required to meet tides times and customers schedules. Previous experience of plant operation and boat handling would be a major advantage but training, where required, will be given. In all cases we will support you to grow your skills and assist you to reach your potential. A full driving licence is essential.
