A highly successful services business is searching for a part-time Health & Safety Consultant in the Portsmouth area, working 4 days per week.Your RoleWhile in this position your duties may include but are not limited to:
  • Developing and implementing health & safety policies and procedures, ensuring these are compliant with regulations
  • Managing compliance against standards including ISO 14001 and ISO 45001, via handling internal and external audits
  • Undertaking risk assessments, as well as investigations into incidents, ensuring root cause analyses is completed, in order to provide recommendations and monitoring corrective actions
  • Producing and delivering training and awareness programmes on health & safety matters
  • Supporting senior leadership and operational teams with driving a strong culture with health & safety values embedded
  • Monitoring KPIs in relation to health & safety, producing reporting as needed on these
  • Keeping abreast of current legislation and regulations, including COSHH in relation to health & safety
  • Acting as the point of contact for external parties including customers, external auditors and regulatory bodies on all matters relating to health & safety
  • Overseeing the incident reporting system
  • Managing supplier compliance with health & safety requirements
You MUST Have:Please apply ONLY if you meet the following criteria:
  • Excellent health & safety experience, ideally with exposure to a stand-alone role, as well as a strong understanding of UK regulations
  • NEBOSH Level 3 qualification or equivalent accreditation
  • Exposure to managing specifically ISO 45001 and 14001 systems
  • Experience in risk assessments, accident investigations and compliance
  • Fantastic stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Experience in developing training programmes would be beneficial
  • Good proficiency with Microsoft Office and wider health & safety software
  • Full clean, UK driving license and ability to travel as and when required
