Job Advert: Computing Teacher - Portsmouth (Full Time, Long Term, Immediate Start)

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Computing Teacher for a long-term, full-time position in Portsmouth, starting ASAP. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic educator to inspire and engage students in the world of computing, fostering both academic success and digital literacy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and deliver engaging and comprehensive Computing lessons across all key stages
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment
  • Assess, monitor, and support student progress, providing timely feedback
  • Prepare students for exams and assessments, ensuring they meet or exceed their targets
  • Utilize a variety of teaching strategies to cater to different learning needs
  • Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to the wider school community
Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification
  • Specialism in Computing/IT
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Computing
  • Experience teaching Computing at Key Stage 3 and 4 (Key Stage 5 desirable but not essential)
  • Excellent classroom management skills and a commitment to student success
  • Ability to start immediately and commit to a full-time, long-term position
