Role: Student Engagement Worker (Teaching Assistant)

Working Pattern: Full Time 35 to 38 hours per week

Key Stage: Key Stage 3 & 4

Contract Type: Permanent contract offered after a probation period (temp to perm)

Salary: £19,000 to £25,000

Job Responsibilities:

As a Student Engagement Worker, you will play a key role in enriching the learning journey for our students.

Your responsibilities will include:

Supporting classroom teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
Providing one-to-one or group support to students with diverse learning needs.
Assisting in preparing and organising educational resources.
Promoting a safe, inclusive, and respectful learning environment.
Building positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues to enhance the school community.

Qualifications and Skills:

Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, Engagement Worker, or a similar role.
A genuine passion for supporting the educational and personal development of young people.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Adaptability and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic school setting.
A positive and proactive approach to teamwork and collaboration.

Safeguarding and Child Protection:

This role requires a strong commitment to safeguarding and child protection. The successful candidate must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks, including an enhanced child DBS on the update service.
