About the Role:

We are looking for a highly technical and enthusiastic Senior Systems Engineer to join our multi-disciplined team. You will be responsible for the systems engineering of Electro Magnetic (EM) sensors and In-Water Equipment (IWE) for various maritime projects. This role involves working closely with the Engineering Delivery Manager and Work Package SME to apply systems engineering practices, technical leadership, and rigor to the EM and In-Water products and artifacts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the systems engineering efforts for EM sensors and IWE.
  • Manage requirements, development, integration, and acceptance of systems.
  • Prepare all IWE sub-systems for Production Readiness Review (PRR).
  • Ensure successful completion of design proving and production acceptance testing.
  • Plan and conduct full system dry integration tests.
  • Manage weekly work package outputs and report monthly progress.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize production processes.
  • Provide technical leadership and manage technical challenges within the work package.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in systems engineering and technical leadership.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Experience with product lifecycle management from design to in-service.
  • Familiarity with product build and integration in a maritime environment.
  • Electrical, Electronic, or Computer Science qualification or equivalent.
  • Chartered Engineer status is desirable.
  • SC Security vetting clearance.

Desirable Skills and Experience:

  • Familiarity with iterative development using Atlassian toolsets, including Confluence.
  • Experience in managing production processes and quality control standards.
  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work under time and budgetary pressures.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
