Head of IT

60,000 - 90,000 package. Portsmouth/office-based role.

This is a multi-faceted role where you will work collaboratively to support the business growth through solving day-to-day problems blended with external projects and medium-long term strategy. Responsibilities (not exhaustive)
Owning the Groups' infrastructure architecture.
IT security.
Server management (inc data and storage).
Project lead on CRM rebuild. Part of this role is to learn the code/system throughout the rebuild so that we retain that knowledge in-house.
Helpdesk (hands-on).
Website and app management. Including an impending brand refresh project.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, provide technical guidance, and support system enhancements.
Systems integration.
Supplier management.
Strategy. Optimizing service, costs etc.
Plan and prioritise in line with Group strategy and stakeholder requirements.
IT project management.
Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation within the CRM and across the group.
Reviewing business requirements to understand the business needs.

The successful candidate with have demonstrable experience to meet the above requirements, and will come from a Developer background (with current expertise). To Include:
At least 5 years of commercial experience using PHP (OOP).
Strong understanding of microservice architecture and design patterns.
Solid knowledge of Laravel (or other PHP frameworks).
Working knowledge of Continuous integration and continuous delivery/deployment (CI/CD).
