Description of the Role:

Managing the logistics function, owning target setting and ensuring these targets are met in line with business requirements whilst coaching and influencing in a team environment creating a safe, robust and multiskilled Logistics function.


Key Responsibilities of the Role:

Create and sustain a safe working environment

Managing a team to include team leader, operators and administrators in a Logistics environment

Leading process and improvement projects

Consistently reviewing training requirements and training matrix whilst ensuring there are no single points of failure or gaps

Carrying out short interval control processes with members of the team so it is understood all tasks are completed as required for business needs utilizing process confirmation documentation

Manage inventory policies and procedures to include cycle counting, stock control and transactional movements

Own COPQ (cost of poor quality) to include stock levels against shelf-life constraints

Create, Lead and influence an environment when members of the team can take ownership and responsibility for their roles thus ensuring there is a right first-time culture

Set KPI targets and robustly review on a regularly basis so that actions are set to continuously improve standards

Manage export control legislation alongside our external support network

Carry our PDPs with the team setting objectives ensuring these objectives are completed within the agreed timescales


Mandatory Requirements

Full Driving Licence

ERP/MRP experience essential

Advanced knowledge of Microsoft excel

5+ years experience in a similar role

A can-do attitude with drive to succeed in a team environment


Desirable Experience & Skills

Continuous improvement (including 5s) experience

Knowledge of Import & Export compliance

SAP system knowledge


Required Qualification Requirements

Leadership or management

Supply Chain / Logistics or relevant experience

Forklift Licence

Working Hours:

07:30 - 16:15: Monday-Thursday

07:30 - 16:00: Fridays

(Every other Friday is a non-working day)
