The successful Production Support Engineer will provide electrical and mechanical expertise and to support to the company's production teams. Providing maintenance and repair of manufacturing equipment.

  • To provide electrical / mechanical expertise and to support to the Company's Production teams. Providing maintenance and repair of manufacturing equipment.
  • Provide dedicated electrical/mechanical engineering support including the reactive and proactive maintenance for automated and hand assembly production to improve efficiency of equipment.
  • Resolve manufacturing issues by providing guidance, performing root cause analysis and implement solutions such as jigs and fixtures or design and process change.
  • Undertake basic engineering tasks to facilitate the maintenance and repair of manufacturing equipment, for example, milling/turning and grinding of parts.
  • Test performance of equipment in conjunction with departmental setters/operators.
  • Work with the production support team to identify improvements for future equipment.

To be successful in this role of Production Support Engineer we would love to speak to anyone who has experience of:

  • Qualified Electrician holding C&G 2330 & 2356 NVQ Level 3 in Electrotechnical Technology (installation or maintenance pathway); or prior formal industry regulated competency-based qualification, which includes technical theory with practical and competency assessments.
  • C&G 2382 (IEE Wiring Regulations 18th edition) (D)
  • Mechanical manufacturing knowledge / Milling/ Turning / Grinding.
  • A good knowledge of Health & Safety Legislation and COSHH.
