Join our team as a Mechanical Plumber and apply your skills to hands-on projects in a great work environment.
Main Duties you will be performing:
Day to day the Mechanical Plumber will be carrying out planned re-active works on heating hot water and plumbing services throughout Portsmouth Naval Base and associated outstations. The estate consists of approx. 350+ buildings which include, accommodation, leisure, catering and recreation buildings, workshops stores and production facilities. The main tasks will be planned internal inspections of hot water calorifiers and cylinders for Legionella compliance and re-active repairs to the heating plumbing infrastructure throughout the base.
Technical Experience and Qualifications:
Essential:
- Has served a recognised Mechanical related apprenticeship and can produce evidence of such or has attained City and Guilds or applicable NVQ qualification.
- Level 3 NVQ Mechanical Engineering Services Plumbing
- Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Domestic Plumbing and Heating and or a mechanical Engineering Qualification
- Pool plant operator or willingness to gain.
