Our client, a global leader in risk management and insurance solutions, is seeking a dedicated and ambitious individual to join their team as a Motor Claims Handler. About the Role:

As a Motor Claims Handler, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of motor claims for insurance companies . This role involves handling claims from inception to closure, negotiating settlements, meeting with clients, brokers, and insurers, and ensuring successful and cost-effective resolutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Handling a portfolio of motor claims from start to finish.
  • Assessing policy indemnity across various policies and underwriters.
  • Conducting desk-based investigations into liability or instructing investigators when necessary.
  • Managing cases through the court process, including instructing solicitors.
  • Maintaining regulatory compliance in all client and third-party interactions.
  • Developing a strong working knowledge of relevant statutes and case law.
  • Building relationships with external clients and stakeholders.

Qualifications and Skills:

To excel in this role, you should have:

  • Excellent communication skills at all levels with a good telephone manner.
  • Strong customer service ethos.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in IT, including Excel (a bonus).
  • CII is desirable
