Role Type: Contract Job (6 Months Rolling)
Rate : 550 - 600 GBP/Day (INSIDE IR35)
Location: Portsmouth, Hampshire
Hybrid -1 day Weekly on-site work in Portsmouth, Hampshire. Irregular travel to Scotland. Possible international travel (Australia)
Required Skills: Python, Data Science, Machine Learning, cuda, Pytorch, DSP, Digital Sigal processing, Resnet, PANNs, vision and speech transformers, Leadership/Management experience
Role Description:
Technical leadership and management:
- Owning jira board, planning and managing sprints in line with client’s expectations and ways of working
- Managing more junior members of staff etc
- Meeting agreed deliverables/timelines
- Working alongside other delivery streams
Stakeholder management and planning
- Liaising with community to plan and delivery tri-lateral roadmaps.
- Planning and attending international conferences (TEMs)
- UK client relationship
- Managing and working with client and other contractors
Technical skills:
- Digital signal processing of sensor data
- Supervised learning-based ML and model architectures (Resnet, PANNs, vision and speech transformers)
- GPU training and supporting libraries (cuda, pytorch)
- Broader data science ecosystem, e.g., pandas, numpy
- Kafka data streaming and multiprocessing based methods for deployment of models
