Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Counterbalance Forklift Operator to join our team on a part-time basis during weekend night shifts. You will be responsible for safely loading, unloading, and moving goods within a busy port environment, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our logistics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate a counterbalance forklift to load/unload containers and transport materials within the port.
- Safely handle cargo, including heavy or oversized items, while following safety protocols.
- Perform routine equipment checks to ensure forklifts are in good working condition.
- Assist with inventory management and maintain accurate records of material movements.
- Collaborate with team members to meet loading/unloading schedules.
- Adhere to all safety, health, and environmental guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
Qualifications:
- Valid Counterbalance Forklift License is required.
- Prior experience operating forklifts in a port or warehouse setting is preferred.
- Ability to work night shifts on weekends.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
