RecQuest are working in partnership with a highly regarded law firm known for its dedication to client care and professional excellence. They are now seeking an experienced Family Lawyer (3+ years PQE) to join their well established Family Law team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and compassionate solicitor who is looking to take ownership of their own private family law caseload, while also contributing to a small proportion of legal aid work, fairly distributed across the team. You will provide practical, proactive advice and work closely with clients to achieve the best possible outcomes.

The Role:
  • Manage a mixed caseload of private family matters, including divorce, financial settlements, and child arrangements.
  • Handle a small proportion of legal aid cases, ensuring fair distribution across the team.
  • Advocate for clients in court proceedings where appropriate.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, providing clear and empathetic legal advice.
  • Play an active role in business development, networking, and maintaining the firm’s excellent reputation.
About You:
  • Qualified Solicitor (3+ years PQE) with demonstrable experience in private family law.
  • Passionate about providing excellent client care, particularly in sensitive legal matters.
  • Strong advocacy skills and a results-driven approach.
  • Confident communicator, able to engage effectively with clients and colleagues at all levels.
  • Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multi-task.
  • IT proficient with experience using Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Able to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
