They need someone to join their team and continue the growth within the business helping them to tackle reducing waste. The business are very cash rich and now on a journey to modernise there maintenance function. They are looking for someone to help drive the improve of the sites locally as well As a business they cover the whole of the UK with over 70 sites! The Role

The Role

As a Maintenance Engineer, your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Confidently fault finding on mechanical components such as hydraulic power pack units, conveyors, bearings, shafts, pulleys, gearboxes etc.
  • Basic electrical work- Fault finding and running cables.
  • Working on shredders, sheers, presses, magnetic cranes, mobile plant equipment,
  • Performing routine PPM checks, reactive maintenance, continuous improvement etc.
  • Calibrating equipment to ensure its accuracy

About You

The ideal Maintenance Engineer will have the following:

  • A recognised mechanical/engineering qualification
  • Experience with, or a flexible mindset for, working with heavy machinery
  • An open attitude to working in any type of environment
  • Any type of welding experience is beneficial, though not essential
