Job Role: Manufacturing EngineerLocation or Commutable from: Portsmouth

Salary: £35,000 to £42,000 per annum DOE

The Company:

You will be joining a global supplier of precision engineering solutions.

The role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for driving new product and programme introduction and operational improvements through method and manufacturing improvement's to deliver continual business performance. This is a full time permanent role based in Portsmouth with working hours Monday-Thursday 8-5:15 pm and early finish on Fridays at 1 pm.

The Candidate:

  • Technical knowledge of the latest manufacturing methods
  • Technical knowledge of latest machine tools
  • Knowledge of Cad/Cam, programming to enable successful introduction of plan
  • Knowledge of the aerospace industry ideally but not essential

Manufacturing Engineer Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that continuous improvement is driven through the business & that this becomes embedded as part of the day to day culture
  • Ability to embed any new method of manufacturing to deliver sustainable benefit to the business
  • Establish and maintain system policies associated with lead times for product
  • Support manufacturing activities both internally & externally
  • Participate & lead lean initiatives
