It's an exciting time to join our Clients team as the engage on industry leading civil engineering projects This role is ideal for dynamic and forward-thinking individuals who are ready to support major civil infrastructure projects and contribute to the successful delivery of their works.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Support the Project Manager in managing responsibilities under the NEC contract.
- Engage in effective communication with stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.
- Contribute to the planning and development phases of the project.
- Assist in the coordination and management of project activities.
- Manage various ad hoc projects from concept to completion, ensuring successful delivery.
- Represent the department at various Sub-Group meetings.
- Monitor pipeline works and coordinate activities through regular stakeholder meetings.
- Produce and support monthly progress reports and governance approval papers.
- Lead procurement, monitoring, and performance of NEC contracts.
- Support the design interface with approved suppliers.
- Utilise CEMAR contract management software for effective communication.
- Liaise with external stakeholders to secure agreement or acceptance of plans associated with the reservoir scheme.
- Ensure a seamless handover of the project into operation upon completion.
- Maintain project development in accordance with Portsmouth Water standards, specifications, and policies.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, management, design, or a related field.
- Demonstrable experience in major civil infrastructure projects.
- Experience with NEC contract management is desirable.
- Membership in a relevant professional institution (e.g., MICE, APM, PMI).
- Project management qualification (PRINCE, APM, or PMI).
- Full driving licence and ability to pass our driver assessment.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build excellent relationships.
- Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and capable of fostering collaborative working.
- Proven project management capabilities and working knowledge of planning software and techniques.
- Excellent analytical skills and proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Teams.
