Material Controller/Planner
Temporary Contract (6 months with possible extension)
Portsmouth Area (Office Based)
c.£35,000 - £40,000 pro rata
Grafton Recruitment are recruiting for a temporary Materials Controller role for a large engineering manufacturer in the Portsmouth area.
This role offers the opportunity to join a large organisation and gain leading edge material control skills from a large sophisticated organisation.
You will be responsible for:
- Planning demand requirements for the site through ERP systems
- Expediting product with suppliers
- Tracking and analysing supplier performance
- Identifying opportunities for supplier improvement
- Identifying and implementing opportunities for reducing inventory holding
- Managing volumes for new product introductions and phasing out end of life product
Requirements:
- Existing experience of material contral and planning, and expediting product
- Experience of working with ERP systems, ideally SAP
- Analytical, attention to detail, improvement focused, highly numerate
