Permanent position

My client is a Global leading Aerospace and Defence organisation. Recruiting for a Lifting Appliance Engineer with the responsibility to test and sign off the lifts back in to service.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the inspection and maintenance of lifts and lifting appliances
  • Operate Safe Systems of Work that comply with the company SHE procedures at all times.
  • Thorough examinations, maintenance, commissioning and defect diagnosis of Marine Lifts, lifting appliances and associated systems.
  • Apply knowledge, skill and experience in order to resolve issues and faults associated with the operation and performance of Systems.
  • Be able to work with technical autonomy and provide advice and guidance to other technical staff.
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to less experienced engineers.
  • Be able to engage with customers and authorities in writing, by telephone or face to face to discuss technical issues and problems.
  • Produce Technical detailed reports.

Required experience:

  • Experience with examinations, maintenance, commissioning and defect diagnosis of Marine Lifts and lifting appliances
  • Requires detailed technical knowledge and broad experience of Mechanical Systems, specifically lifting appliances and lifts, their maintenance, relevant legislation and inspection requirements
  • Needs demonstrable experience of maintenance and inspection of Lift appliances
  • To carry out scheduled maintenance, thorough examinations, Setting to Work, fault diagnosis and defect rectification
  • LEEA nice to have
